En mi casa siempre hemos sido muy fans de Versace. Especialmente de los diseños de Gianni, requiescat in pace, aunque yo no los conocí.
Mi abuela tenía varios cojines de seda ideales y yo, de peque, era una niña Versace Young de lo más mona. Recuerdo que tenía un conjunto de pantalones capri y cazadora tejana con estampado marino sobre un fondo turquesa. ¡Me encantaba!
Hoy he madrugado, me he duchado a la velicidad del rayo, he impreso unos apuntes de matemáticas (sí, tengo examen esta tarde) y he cogido la moto, dirección Paseo de Gracia.
Y ahora mismo me estoy humillando ante toda la ciudad condal haciendo cola detrás de gays superfashions y modernas con pelo rosa, ante la tienda de H&M, para poder comprar mis dos fichajes de esta colección. Precisamente se trata de una cazadora tejana y unos vaqueros estampados.

Ya estoy en casa, después de los mil recados que tenía que hacer esta mañana. Como no es de extrañar, he comprado más cosas de las planeadas. La organización ha sido espectacular y la amabilidad en los dependientes no ha brillado por su ausencia, como es usual, sino al contrario. Estoy muy feliz. Donatella mola mogollón y H&M también.

A principios del pasado mes de Julio visité, una vez más, la maravillosa ciudad de Londres. Esta vez no fue por turismo familiar, sino por razones pseudoeducativas. No, no me fui a un campamento, ni tampoco interna como cuando no era ni teenager, esta vez fui acompañada de mi amiga Marta (y de su novio que iba a la ciudad por otros motivos) a participar en un curso de Diseño de Moda en el archiconocido Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design, sede de formación de grandes como Stella McCartney y Zac Posen, el polémico John Galliano, el difunto Alexander McQueen (Dios lo tenga en su gloria), la sobrina de Gianni, Francesca Versace o la hermanísima de Sienna Miller, Savannah.
Tanto Marta, creo que puedo hablar por ella, como yo íbamos con miedo a encontrarnos entre una treintena de Jenny’s Humphrey’s dispuestas a darlo todo para poder hacer una supercolección e impresionar a los de admisiones del CSM y poder cursar sus estudios universitarios allí. Nosotras no teníamos ninguna intención de dedicar nuestra semana como londoners exclusivamente al diseño y resultó no que éramos las únicas con esas ideas, aunque la inmensa mayoría estaba entregadísima al proyecto del curso.
Por supuesto, no fallamos al mercadillo de los domingos en Camdem, nos pateamos Regent y Oxfort Street y vimos Anne Boleyn en el Shakespeare’s Globe. Coincidimos con la première de la última entrega de Harry Potter en Trafalgar Square, donde días antes se había ofrecido una retransmisión de Madam Butterfly representada en la Royal Opera House de Londres.
También visitamos varios museos, el Victoria & Albert Museum de la mano del CSM, pero también la National Portrait Gallery y la Tate Modern, además acudimos a la Royal Society a la Summer Science Exhibition, que nos sorprendió en el mejor sentido de la palabra. Y, para dar el toque siniestro a nuestro viajecito, hicimos un tour por las esquinas de parte antigua de la ciudad en las que el primer asesino en serie de la historia de la humanidad mató a las víctimas que se le atribuyen, hablo de Jack el destripador.
Harrod’s, Liberty y Selfridge’s son asignaturas obligatorias en cualquier visita a la capital británica, y ya que empezamos con las compras, aprovechamos para echar un vistazo a Topshop y Primark. Pero a pesar de tooooodas las libras gastadas, he llegado a Barcelona sin el ansiado souvenir cutre de la boda de los Duques de Cambridge... Habrá que volver, que London siempre está calling.

It's been so long since I last posted an entry, I'm incredibly sorry for those who read this, but I've had no time and nothing to post, basically.

It's already December, temperatures are pretty low and all I want to is Christmas to come.
Last Thursday (Dec. 2nd) was my 17th birthday, it was such a great day. So on Saturday my friends surprised me planning a game in which I had to do silly stuff around the city. Anyway, here are some pictures of these last days ;)

School has already started, but yet when I close my eyes I can still smell the salt from Santa Cristina Creek, hear and dance in my mind to the Waka Waka. I kind of miss the crowds in the discos. Of course I want to go back to London and delight myself with Harrod's, Selfridge's and Liberty. I miss having free time, and, of course, watching the most fake soap opera which I loved. Feeling the cool waves in my feet and the sun burning my skin. Ahh.

I'm back! I'm sorry I haven't posted for so long... Well, here I am. Summer is being great so far. I went to Madrid for a Fashion & Business course, I even met Covandonga O'Shea, who had been TELVA's editor-in-chef for many years.

I also went to Comarruga, a little village by the sea which is quite close to Barcelona. I was staying at a friend's house with 3 more friends. We had loads of fun.

Finally! School is over and I am enjoying my very first day of summer vacation!
I really don't have words to describe the way I am feeling, many things have happened recently. maybe "WOAH!"?

Okay, so I got to meet Scott Schuman (The Sartorialist) at Santa Eulalia. I got his book signed and that made me feel the happiest girl on earth. And well, I always have considered Santa Eulalia one of the most iconic stores in town, not only for the incredible tailoring, which is in my view the tradicional side of the store, but for the amazing choices from the greatest brands.
On the other hand, I am excited because next week I have a wedding and I'll be wearing my new Hermès dress which I love (I'll show you the pictures). But the issue is that I don't have shoes, and the hunt of the perfect sandals is driving me crazy!
Today I slept 'til noon and I went to have an italian lunch downtown with my friend Judith, which I enjoyed very very much. I am also very happy 'cause my brother and all my friends which are a year older than I are getting into Uni 'cause they've passed their state exams :D

Just 22 days for summer vacation. Can't wait!

Okay, so Estrella Damm did last year the best add campaign, which promoted the swedish band Billie the Vision & The Dancers and Formentera Island. Summercat became the summer hit and we all sung out loud "Tonight, tonight, tonight! I wanna be with you tonight!". The spot ended with "Lo bueno nunca acaba si hay algo que te lo recuerda", that would mean "Good things never end if there's something that reminds you of them".

Yesterday, the beer company released their new TV spot, which features The Triangles' song called Applejack and Menorca Island. This summer's motto is "A veces, lo que buscas está tan cerca que cuesta verlo", which is "Sometimes what you are looking for is so close that is hard to see".

I really like what they are doing. Don't you think? Showing the world the charm of the Mediterranean coast, while promoting independent bands.

Yesterday was so hot in Barcelona, and having read the entry about vintage denim shorts by Garance Doré made me want to get my own pair. I actually have been looking for them for quite a long time but I still haven't found what I was looking for (U2 quote, I know). Yesterday I checked all the mass stores like Zara and H&M but I hate the way those shorts fit if you are not a supermodel. So this morning I went to some vintage/second-hand stores... but man... I know this sounds so snob, but I can help myself to find that stores quite disgusting. I know that once you get home you put the clothes into the washing machine and everything is gonna be alright (why am I quoting so many songs today?), but still. I guess I am sort of like Emma from Glee. Anyways, I'm not giving up. I have seen a pair at the Levi's store which might be the ones, but before buying them I want to get through my mom's old wardrobe to see if I can redesign an old pair of jeans and get exactly what I want.

This is something that has nothing to do with vintage denim shorts, but i MUST say that I totally LOVE the men's department at H&M. Really. Everytime my mom and I go shopping and step into that store we get tons of clothing for my big brother, I'll try to post a couple of pictures of him wearing the most incredible blazers to be seen in a mass store.

Okay, I'm gonna go. Check out my new Hermès vintage bag! My grandma gave it to me 'cause she wasn't gonna use it this summer! Don't you love it?

That's the kind of vintage I like, I get old skirts from my mom, shirts from my dad or bags from my grandma and voilà! that's what I get ;)

By noon it was already snowing, but nobody thought it would go on for the rest of the day.

It's been a while, I know. But I was very busy with school and all that kind of stuff. Hopefully, this week is much more relaxing, and... no school on friday!

After a rainy afternoon I met with my friend Tatiana in a café and chatted. Nothing much is going on...

I went to The Brandery two weeks ago. Okay, so a lot of people is saying it sucked and blah, blah, blah... and yeah, it actually did suck compared to BBBarcelona, but what did you expect? Bread&Butter is known worldwide, it's bigger and older. I don't have any pictures of that, sorry, but as I said before, it wasn't that bad, but i didn't see anything you cannot see in a magazine.

A pitty I couln't assist to 080 Barcelona Fashion, which was better than expected.

It is too cold out in the street! I don't get it, it's been so warm lately, I mean, it's still winter, but I have been able to ride my vespa just wearing my school uniform and a sweatshirt, but today... OMG! I decided to get my UGGs out of the closet, again, tie myself into a scarf and wear a winter hat.

After lunch, my mom, my brother and I went shoping, it's still sales, remember? Well, the thing is

that I figured out, again, how much I prefer men's clothes than women's at H&M. It was so hard for me to find anything there, finally I did, but when I went to the men's department I was so freaked out! Evverything was so beautiful, I fell in love with a grey blazer, so i convinced my brother to get it, just like Garance Doré said: "Please, wear it for me!". My big brother is so skinny, much more than I am, but his clothes (except for his trousers) look huge on me...

In spite of that, I did find a really cute dress and a faux crocodile leather briefcase for my laptop. My mom insisted in buying me a black lace kimono, which i find really elegant and sensual, but i don't know how to wear it and not look like a wh*re, please help!

Most of the girls my age associate bow-ties with chuck bass, and i won't say i don't associate it either, but still, having a young men (my big bro) who wears bow-ties all the time living at home, helps me not to freak out every time i see a man wearing one.

Well, the fact is that on saturday, I was having a walk with my very good friend Manel before the Barça game. We walked by a store called BOW-TIE. My dad had already told me about it, "Incredible shoes, fashionable suspenders, and, of course, bow-ties". The opening was a few weeks ago, so this isn't actually the discovery of an old relic, but still i felt like i had to talk about it.

The thing is that if you, dear reader, are a man, you gotta go over there sometime and get a pair of shoes; if you are a woman, you must get a pair for you man, or something, idk. I just love classic british style!
